Rust is timeless and always beautiful, without requiring any maintenance, painting or oiling, which is why raised beds with an elegant rust patina are very trendy. Other reasons they are so popular are the diverse design options and the fact that you don't have to bend to work on your vegetable beds. In addition, the rust patina on the surface acts as a natural snail deterrent because snails do not like rust.

Natural rust patina
Prima Terra consciously relies on environmentally friendly processing. Instead of using aggressive chemicals, the steel sheets are treated with normal table vinegar in order to obtain the desired patina. The rust process is only started here - the even layer of rust only develops over time due to the effects of the weather (humidity, rain). The lifetime of this raised bed is between 10 and 15 years. Using chemical fertilisers can shorten this.
